Indie-pop trio AJR emerged in 2005 with their unique blend of electro-pop, dance, and barbershop harmonies. Made up of brothers Adam, Jack, and Ryan, the NYC-based AJR got their start street performing on the city sidewalks, covering songs by the likes of Vampire Weekend, Fun., and The Beach Boys. The group got their break after a music video posted online caught the attention of Australian pop star Sia Furler, who put the group in contact with the right people eventually gaining AJR a manager. Their debut independent single “I’m Ready” arrived in 2013, earning widespread claim and peaking at the number 27 spot on the Billboard Top 40 chart. AJR released their debut album Living Room in 2015, followed by their single “Weak” in 2016, which achieved platinum status. The group’s sophomore album The Click arrived one year later in 2017, featuring singles “Drama” and “Sober Up,” the latter of which included an appearance by Weezer’s River Cuomo.
